Atmel-ICE on my desk

An Atmel-ICE landing on my desk @MicrochipTech, guaranteed fun time ahead. Planning on fiddling with Cortex M0 bootloaders as a starter.

According to @FedExEurope, I moved:

RFM95 with a simple 82mm wire as antenna has a much better range than the ESP32 TTGO LORA module with uFL antenna. Less is more? #LoRaWAN #IoT

#SAMD21 based Moteino M0 + rfm95 #LoRaWAN module + SPI flash sleep current around 12uA. Not great, not terrible. Wakes periodically to send data to The Things Network using LMIC Arduino library. #IoT Dropped to 8.5uA with "crystalless" option.. cool ๐

Moteino M0 sending data to the @thethingsntwrk using RFM95 and LMIC library. Had to wire RST and DIO1 pins for full library compatibility. #IoT #LoRaWAN Battery powered ๐

PLA fillament shipment undergoing quality inspection. #3Dprinting

Wondering why @LowPowerLab Felix decided to use non-standard PCB thickness of 1.3mm on the Moteino M0, can't use a standard RPSMA connector

#3Dprinted an enclosure for a TTGO #ESP32 #LoRaWAN node, not a very good fit though.. will try alternatives

Experimenting with SAMD21D posing as a mass storage device using @Adafruit's TinyUSB library – planning on using this feature to expose configuration JSONs #IoT Added external SPI flash and using it as R/W mass storage device, works nice and smooth ๐ Firmware configurations are now esposed as JSON file when you plug it in aโฆ

Just received a @LowPowerLab Moteino M0, will use it with the RFM95 #LoRaWAN module I tweeted earlier. Has the SAMD21 Cortex M0 uC, a good chance for me to learn more about these. #IoT

Received few RFM95 #LoRaWAN modules to experiment with #IoT

Ordered a 80cm 5.8dBi antenna for my @RAKwireless RAK2247 based #LoRaWAN gateway.

Moved my TTN #LoRaWAN gateway to the roof, should have much better coverage than indoors.

When someone rips your idea and presents it like thei own. Left the copycat, right my original 2017 project

Drove around Sofia and suburbs with one of @boyannedkov #LoRaWAN GPS trackers, impressive coverage for a 20mW RFM95 transmitter. Managed to reach a gateway 32km away, practically no blind spots. External antenna, pictured below. #ttn #ttnmapper

3D printing a T-Rex skeleton for the kids (including the grown up kid tweeting this)

#3DBenchy printed in 1h 45min, using 100% default settings as I have no clue what they mean yet. Result is pretty good for what I care. Creality Ender 3 V2, Cura

64.4 dB noise level while 3D printing #3DBenchy on my new Creality Ender 3 V2, mostly fan hum. Stepper motors are barely hearable.

Just received a Creality Ender-3 V2 3D printer, my first. Hope it works well.

Stocking on gadgets in anticipation of another lockdown in the winter.. mostly IoT and engineering stuff. The bad thing is my Aliexpress wishlist has ~200 more items..

Completed a 4 EUR #LoRaWAN gateway enclosure for outdoor use using PVC fittings. Apart from the aesthetical crime being committed, it is pretty cool. #IoT
@Flashoholic Just heard back from Dialog Semi: "we are working on a GCC based SDK but this is not public yet and not ready to be released." – That's great news

When you are eager to try that new SoC, but don't have the breakout board.. #IoT #DA16200 @DialogSemi Better view

My profile picture toonified by #AI https://deepai.org/machine-learning-model/toonify TBH I look like a neanderthal with glasses. The rest of the family looks cute though, so there is hope.

Just received couple DA16200MODs, the new 70uA while connected to WiFi SoC #IoT

Thinking about creating a low cost, battery powered temperature and humidity #LoRaWAN #IoT node with always on LCD like this:

Having an interesting discussion with @LowPowerLab's Felix on optimizing his RFM69 library for further power consumption savings, check it out here: https://lowpowerlab.com/forum/rf-range-antennas-rfm69-library/rfm69-driver-interrupt-based-wait-for-packetsent/

Ordered a HIKVISON H10 160×120 25Hz IR infrared thermal imager camera for โฌ170. Sounds too good to be true, awaiting delivery to make a detailed review. The known issue is that menu is in Chinese language only.

My TTN LoRaWAN gateway is up and running. Next steps are finding proper antenna and outdoor enclosure. #lorawan
Interesting new WiFi SoC by @DialogSemi – the DA16200. Promises averaged 72ยตA power consumption and 1 sec response time while always connected to the network. Perfect for battery powered WiFi #IoT nodes. I will order few samples and research it further. https://youtu.be/d80X2GtTNBk

Just ordered a @PiSupply LoRa Gateway HAT for Raspberry Pi (RAK 2247 based). Planning on using it for a @thethingsntwrk gateway. #IoT

Wireless and battery powered bistable (latching) relay IoT node with practically unlimited standby listen time. Relay is rated 16A/230V. Controlled by ESP32+RFM69 gateway (WiFi, MQTT). What practical usecases for this can you think of?
