Working on #ESP32 WiFi credentials manager #IoT

Testing button driven (touch-less) GUI on ILI9341 320×240 TFT using #LittlevGL powered by #ESP32

Testing Ili9341 TFT hardware scrolling with appropriate use case #ESP32

Experimenting with gauges designs #ESP32

Had to inspire some young people into the world of embedded, wired up a pong console as a starter

Working on a PCB revision for the #ESP32 RFM69-to-MQTT gateway with TFT display. Added a piezo buzzer, htu21d TH sensor and a LDR for smarter screen dimming.
Interesting http://esptool.py wrapper that lets you use RTS/CTS for #ESP8266 / #ESP32 auto-reset on firmware flashing instead of the usual RTS/DTR method. Saves a few components thus reducing project cost. Description and code here https://github.com/jimparis/esptool-ftdi

Running TFT demo on my #ESP32 gateway project

Prototype PCB for the RFM69 to MQTT #IoT gateway with TFT, RTC, atsha204 encryption and neopixel is ready, works well. Excited 🙂

My new home automation IoT ecosystem architecture is taking shape. Now working on a PCB for a RFM69[+BLE] -to-MQTT ESP32 gateway with TFT status display. Next is low power, battery-operated wireless status display with e-paper and RFM69+atmega328 + more..

My wife left her iPad unattended for a few minutes only to find our 8 y/o daughter installing Sims and €350 worth of add-ins.. her bank card got blocked by our bank for suspicious activity, I'm on the phone with @AppleSupport trying to cancel the purchases 🙂

Unusually cold summer where I live, temperatures reaching max 30*C on only two days so far… contrary to the heat wave in western Europe and Asia #GlobalWarming

Added TFT support to a RFM69+BLE<–>MQTT gateway PoC project. So many ideas, so little free time to materialize them..

It’s 2010. You’re an eager investor presented a choice between two stocks: Google or Domino’s Pizza. Where do you put your money? You should have gone with your gut. https://www.theatlas.com/charts/S18QCJyhe

Testing waveshare 1.54" module with a partial update, pretty fast compared to the 2.7" two-color version with 15 seconds refresh time.. https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/1.54inch_e-Paper_Module #IoT

We have a 4.88m x 2.74m x 1.22m (13m³) Bestway swimming pool in the backyard. We only use the pool when the pool water temperature is > 25°C, but it only happens if there are intensive sunshine and high ambient…

Received my Elements of AI certificate today. A great online course, by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor #elementsofai #AI

Toying with a two color e-paper display, amazing technology.. Thinking of low power battery display applications #iot

Experimenting with #esp32 + #rfm69 to #MQTT #IoT gateway, works well

Few photos from my tech talk on "Building low power battery operated #IoT nodes", thanks to those that attended

Preparing a hot water powered barebone #arduino running on internal oscillator and blinking a LED. Fun and educational #IoT

Found an energy harvesting board that I designed ages ago in my drawer. Never ceases to amaze me how this works, made a video of it working off a peltier element and a t delta of 10 degrees C. Thinking of creating harvestduinoRF? #WearableTech #IoT

My CV as a word cloud

Fiddling with noname #esp8285 (not esp8266!) smart plug. Build quality is better than Sonoff S20, relay rated 16A. Difficult to reflash though as no header with TX/RX is exposed
Not that I used it much, but I just #DeleteFacebook over privacy concerns
Got featured on @hackaday .. again 🙂 https://x.com/hackaday/status/976639868263542785
